What is your favourite place in Berlin?
This is a difficult question because what we love most about Berlin is that it never stops surprising us...just when you think you know it so well, you discover a new neigbourhood, street market, park, gallery...
Some of our favorite places are Treptow park in Autumn, Arkona Market on Fridays, Greifekiez on Saturdays or Templehof on Sundays....but this list could go on and on.
What do you like about the Germans?
Contrary to stereotypes, we have found that Germans (at least here in Berlin) are very open, friendly and hospitable. We (the three partners at Silo) are foreigners but have felt at home from the start...
And what does spanish people know just better?
Well...food. Although we love living here...German food leaves a lot to be desired...We miss good mediteranean cuisine!
Where is home?
We are three partners.. we each have different stories, but we share something in common...home is Spain, where we were raised...AND Germany, where we have chosen raise our children.
Is there a product, you would aboslutely love to sell at Silo Store - but can't find it?
Really, the problem we have faced is a different one..How to chose amongst so many beautiful products? There is so much talent in Spain...from traditional products to new and young designers...We wish we had a huge store so they could ALL have a place!
Is there a certain spanish smell or taste for you?
Spain for us (and for a lot of Germans :-) has become our destination during the summer months. We visit family and enjoy warm summer nights. The smell that we distictly connect with that time of the year, is the smell of Jazmin or of the 'dama de noche' (lady of the night) ...a flower that blooms only at night and has the most exquisite perfume!
What will you do after your first long Silo-Store day today at the Bikini House?
All three of us are mothers... so alter a long day at the Bikini Berlin, we will look forward to going back home and enjoying our families...and our pillows!
Where will you pop-up next?
Well...Silo is our great adventure...we dont know where it will take us next, so we take it one day at a time. Right now we are just very excited of our Bikini Berlin Pop Up! .
